CEC Convention

 

 

 

In conjunction with the Council for Exceptional Children International Convention in Seattle, DLD conducted its 2009 meetings. DLD honored Pamela Seethaler of Vanderbilt University for her award-winning dissertation and Joseph R. Jenkins of the University of Washington for his lifetime contribution to the field of learning disabilities.

Past President Kathleen Marshall hosted the DLD showcase session focused on research about mathematics instruction. David Chard, Russell Gersten, and Lynn Fuchs joined Kathleen to discuss their research on the topic. Download PDF copies of their handouts (Chard, Gersten, and Fuchs) .

Advanced students presented their research to members and guests during the reception. Following the business meeting, members and guests enjoyed a reception. Advanced students presented their research during a poster session, having the opportunity to talk with leading researchers who are members of DLD.
