  • Writing Webinar 2013 - April 25, 2013

    Once again DLD and CEC are producing a fabulous professional development program for educators. This one focuses on assessing and teaching written expression using evidence-based practices. Internationally known authorities will present a series of three one-hour sessions in April and May of 2013 designed to help teachers, clinicians, assessment personnel, administrators, and others design and deliver higher quality services for students with or at risk for learning disabilities. 



  • Student Poster Presentations 2013 - April 4, 2013

    On 4 April at the annual reception following DLD's business meeting at the Convention of the Council for Exceptional Children, DLD Student Representative Amy Boele will host a group of students presenting posters showing their current research. 



  • CSR Webinar - March 18, 2013

    DLD and CEC will collaborate on a Webinar about Collaborative Strategic Reading on 18 March 2013. DLD President Janette Klingner and DLD Member Alison Gould Boardman will provide the expertise for the Webinar, explaining how teachers, administrators, and other educators can employ this standards-aligned and evidence-based practice to help students with learning disabilities and those who are learning English at the upper elementary and middle school level to succeed in reading. 



  • DLD Meets with Florida CEC October 2012 - September 20, 2012

    The Division for Learning Disabilities is collaborating with the Florida Council for Exceptional Children in the fall of 2012 for Florida CEC's annual convention. Join us!

  • Math Webinars - March 1, 2012

    DLD and CEC are collaborating on a series of Webinars about improving arithmetic and mathematics instruction. The Webinars will occur 1, 20, and 22 March 2012 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM Eastern time. Read a fuller description. 



  • DLD at New York State CEC - October 21, 2011

    The Division for Learning Disabilities (DLD) will join with the New York State Council for Exceptional Children in Rochester, NY, for its conference 21-22 October 2011. DLD's "Bridging the Gap between Research and Practice" will focus on response to intervention in literacy and mathematics and positive behavior intervention and supports. [Click for more info.]
